Our Mission

Illness should not make basic nutrition unaffordable.

For patients facing cancer, ESRD, or other serious chronic illnesses, protein supplements can become difficult to afford alongside medical bills, treatment costs, and daily expenses.

NutriAssist was created to help close that gap by providing free protein shakes, powders, and bars to patients who need nutritional support but cannot easily access it.

Strength Helping patients maintain muscle and resilience.
Access Reducing the financial barrier to protein support.
Dignity Supporting patients through vulnerable periods of illness.
Initial Focus

Starting with patients where protein support is especially urgent.

NutriAssist is beginning with disease groups where muscle loss, treatment stress, and protein needs can create a serious burden for patients and families.

πŸŽ—οΈ

Cancer Patients

Cancer and its treatments can contribute to fatigue, poor intake, inflammation, and muscle loss. Protein support can help patients better preserve strength during treatment and recovery.

🩺

ESRD Patients

Patients with End-Stage Renal Disease, especially those on dialysis, may face increased protein needs and higher risk of protein-energy wasting.

πŸ’™

Chronic Illness

NutriAssist aims to expand support for patients with chronic diseases where adequate protein intake is important for strength, recovery, and quality of life.

Why Protein Matters

Protein is not a luxury for patients fighting illness.

Protein plays a central role in maintaining muscle mass, supporting immune function, preserving strength, and helping patients tolerate the physical stress of disease and treatment.

When patients cannot afford protein supplements, something basic becomes a barrier to recovery and quality of life.

βœ“
Maintains muscle mass Protein helps protect against muscle loss and weakness during illness.
βœ“
Supports treatment resilience Nutrition can influence a patient’s ability to tolerate treatment and recover.
βœ“
Reduces financial pressure Free protein support can remove a monthly expense for patients already facing medical costs.
βœ“
Preserves dignity No patient should feel that nourishment is out of reach because of illness.

Protein needs can vary by diagnosis, kidney function, treatment plan, and medical condition. Patients should speak with their physician, care team, or registered dietitian before changing their nutrition or supplement intake.

Proper nutrition should not be a privilege.

NutriAssist exists to help patients preserve strength, independence, and dignity during serious illness by making protein support easier to access.
